About United Shockwave Services
Over three decades ago in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, United Shockwave Services pioneered one of the very first lithotripsy procedures. Since then, lithotripsy has become the standard of care for kidney stones, and United Shockwave Services defines the standard for delivering that care. In fact, each United Shockwave Services’ technologist now treats more than 300 kidney stones annually, with one of the lowest retreatment rates in the country.
After introducing BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or enlarged prostate) treatment in 2005, United Shockwave Services’ offerings expanded in 2009 to include state-of-the-art surgical laser equipment. United Shockwave Services’ innovative solutions can now be found in more than 350 healthcare facilities across the country.
But beyond the numbers, United Shockwave Services is committed to helping patients regain their health and improve their quality of life. Our experience and dedication to continuous practical innovation has contributed directly to improving lithotripsy procedural methodologies and success rates. We’re committed to discovering new and better ways to support healthcare facilities, physicians and patients alike.
United Shockwave Services is proud to have earned accreditation by the Joint Commission – recognition of our dedication to patient safety and quality of care.
